Quick Answer

What Is the AIFO 2-Step Challenge?

The AIFO 2-Step Challenge is a two-phase simulated trading evaluation. Traders must reach a 5% profit target in Phase 1 and an 8% profit target in Phase 2 while staying within the 3% Daily Loss Limit and 8% Static Maximum Loss Limit.

The program is available in $10,000, $25,000, $50,000, $100,000, and $200,000 account sizes. Before progressing to the next stage, traders must complete at least 3 profitable trading days, with each valid day generating a profit of at least 0.5% of the initial account balance.

After both evaluation phases are completed, the full evaluation period is reviewed before progression to an AIFO simulated funded account. The default profit split is 80% and can increase up to 95% through the AIFO Scaling Plan.

In Phase 1, aim to reach the 5% profit target while staying within the 3% Daily Loss Limit and 8% Static Maximum Loss Limit.

3

Step 3: Complete Phase 2

After completing Phase 1 and the applicable trading-day requirements, move to Phase 2 and aim for the 8% profit target while staying within the same 3% Daily Loss Limit and 8% Static Maximum Loss Limit.

4

Step 4: Move Toward Funded Progression

After completing both evaluation phases, your full evaluation period is reviewed. Once approved, you can progress to an AIFO simulated funded account.

Core Rules

AIFO 2-Step Challenge Rules

The AIFO 2-Step Challenge uses two evaluation phases. Traders must meet the 5% Phase 1 target and 8% Phase 2 target while staying within the 3% Daily Loss Limit, 8% Static Maximum Loss Limit, profitable trading-day requirements, and AIFO trading rules.

Read the full AIFO Trading Rules before starting your challenge.

Phase 1 Profit Target: 5%

Reach a 5% profit target in the first phase to move to the second phase.

Phase 2 Profit Target: 8%

Reach an 8% profit target in the second phase to complete the evaluation objective.

Daily Loss Limit: 3%

The Daily Loss Limit is 3% and is calculated from the previous day’s closing balance or equity, whichever is higher. Account equity must remain above the applicable daily loss floor during both evaluation phases.

Maximum Loss Limit: 8% Static

The AIFO 2-Step Challenge uses an 8% Static Maximum Loss Limit. On a $100,000 account, the loss floor stays fixed at $92,000 even as the account grows.

Minimum Profitable Trading Days: 3 Days

Before progressing to the next stage, traders must complete at least 3 profitable trading days. Each valid trading day must generate a profit of at least 0.5% of the initial account balance.

Critical Violation

Exceeding the 3% Daily Loss Limit or 8% Static Maximum Loss Limit is a Critical Violation and can result in immediate account failure or closure.

Static Risk Framework

How Does the 8% Static Max Drawdown Work?

The AIFO 2-Step Challenge uses an 8% Static Maximum Loss Limit. Unlike a trailing drawdown, the static maximum-loss floor is tied to the initial account size and does not move upward when the account reaches new balance or equity highs.

For example, on a $100,000 2-Step Challenge account, an 8% Static Maximum Loss Limit creates an initial maximum-loss floor of $92,000. If the account grows above $100,000, the maximum-loss floor remains fixed under the static drawdown rule during the applicable challenge stage.

The 8% Static Maximum Loss Limit is separate from the 3% Daily Loss Limit. Traders must remain within both limits throughout the evaluation.

Account Size Examples

What Do the 2-Step Rules Mean by Account Size?

The same 2-Step rules apply across all account sizes. The table below translates the main percentages into simple account-size reference values.

Account Size Phase 1 Target 5% Phase 2 Target 8% 3% Daily Loss Reference 8% Static Max Drawdown Reference 2% Payout Buffer Reference
$10,000 $500 $800 $300 $800 $200
$25,000 $1,250 $2,000 $750 $2,000 $500
$50,000 $2,500 $4,000 $1,500 $4,000 $1,000
$100,000 $5,000 $8,000 $3,000 $8,000 $2,000
$200,000 $10,000 $16,000 $6,000 $16,000 $4,000
These are reference values based on the initial account size. The 8% Static Maximum Loss Limit is tied to the initial account size and does not trail upward with new balance or equity highs. Daily Loss calculations follow AIFO’s separate Daily Loss rules, and the 2% payout buffer applies when requesting payouts.

Payout & Profit Split

Payouts, Profit Split and Scaling

AIFO 2-Step simulated funded accounts start with an 80% profit split. Through the AIFO Scaling Plan, eligible traders can increase the profit split up to 95%. To receive a profit split, traders must maintain a Consistency Score below 30%.

Eligible 1–3 Step traders can request a Profit Split every 14 days after their first trade. The minimum payout amount is $200. Payout requests also require a compliant account status, completed KYC, no open positions or pending orders, and the applicable payout buffer.

For partial payouts, AIFO requires a profit buffer equal to 2% of the initial account size to remain in the account. A full payout will close the account after the payout is completed.

Formula
Total Profit Required Buffer = Profit Remaining for Payout Review

On a $100,000 2-Step account, the 2% buffer reference is $2,000.

This does not mean the trader can only make $2,000. It means the buffer helps separate total account profit from the amount that may be ready for payout review.

For example, if the account has profit above the active buffer, the trader can better understand what portion may be considered payout-ready after eligibility checks, KYC, payout destination review, and trading review are completed.
